There are five installation scenarios, these scenarios should be attempted according to the following hierarchy: 1. Slanted surface installation In the instance where an installation scenario is impossible, the next installation scenario in the hierarchy must be attempted. A maximum of three different installation scenarios may be installed. Any posters that are unable to be installed in compliance with their stated instructions should instead be placed on a table in the gallery space in piles respective to their scenario. Text instructions on the posters: 'Scenario 1: Slanted Surface Installation' : For the purpose of this installation scenario a 'slanted surface' is defined as a continuous structure that is not at a right angle to the floor. The beginning and end points of a slanted surface are signified by a change in gradient, a doorway, a window or another artist's work. Installation instructions: When a minimum of one window exists in a wall a window installation scenario is possible. For the purpose of this installation scenario a ‘wall’ is defined as a flat continuous vertical structure; the beginning and end points of a wall are signified by a doorway, another artist’s work, an intruding structural feature or a change in direction of the wall. Installation instructions: For the purpose of this installation scenario a 'beam' is defined as a horizontal support structure. The beginning and end points of the beam are signified by the beam meeting either a wall or pillar. Installation instructions: 1. Install two hooks to the underside of the beam; these hooks must be at the centre of the width of the beam's surface. Hook 1 must be 50mm from the beginning point of the beam and hook 2 must be 50mm from the end point of the beam. The poster(s) must be hung from a cable secured from hook 1 to hook 2, (please note that additional hooks may need to be evenly distributed to keep the cable level). For the purpose of this installation scenario a ‘pillar’ is defined as a vertical structure used as a support for a building, or as an ornament or monument. 1. The poster(s) must be applied with glue and wrapped to the surface of the pillar. If the pillar has multiple faces then the left vertical edge of the poster must be pasted at the centre of the width of a face. For the purpose of this installation scenario a ‘vertical surface’ is defined as a continuous vertical structure. The beginning and end points of the vertical surface are signified by either a doorway, a window or another artist’s work. Any irregularity in the wall (e.g. a pipe, uneven surface, corners or intruding pillars) does not constitute an end point; posters must be applied over irregularities. 1. The poster(s) must be glued to the vertical surface.
